Ragnar is a U.S. relay-race company that has been putting on overnight, team-based endurance races for about 20 years. Its Road series sends a team point-to-point over roughly 200 miles, with runners taking turns on the course day and night while the rest of the team leapfrogs ahead in vans.
The Bourbon Chase runs Friday 2 October to Saturday 3 October 2026, starting at the Jim Beam Distillery in Clermont, Kentucky and finishing at Lexington Brewing & Distilling Company in Lexington. The course covers 206 miles through the Bluegrass region, averaging about 17.2 miles per runner on a 12-person team, and passes a series of working distilleries that host tastings along the route.
Three team formats are offered: Standard (12 runners, $2,195 per team, about $182 a runner), Ultra (6 runners, $1,275, about $212 a runner) and Sprint (6 runners, one day, $725, about $120 a runner).
