DEKA is Spartan’s functional-fitness competition format — not an obstacle course — where athletes move through a timed circuit of fitness stations in FIT, STRONG, MILE, and Ultra variants. The DEKA World Championships at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, TX run December 10-13, 2026, with public DEKA FIT heats on Thursday and public DEKA MILE heats on Friday; public DEKA STRONG heats run Saturday-Sunday, while the elite DEKA STRONG championship division is invite-only and not open to general registration.
