Ragnar is a U.S. relay-race company that has been putting on overnight, team-based endurance races for about 20 years. Its Road series sends a team point-to-point over roughly 200 miles, with runners taking turns on the course day and night while the rest of the team leapfrogs ahead in vans.
Reach The Beach runs Friday 18 September to Saturday 19 September 2026, starting in Lancaster, New Hampshire and finishing at Hampton Beach on the Atlantic. The course covers 204 miles through the White Mountains and the Lake Winnipesaukee region, with individual legs ranging from about 10 to 23 miles per runner depending on team size.
Four team formats are offered: Standard (12 runners, $2,195 per team, about $182 a runner), Ultra (6 runners, $1,275, about $212 a runner), Sprint (6 runners, $725, about $121 a runner) and Sprint Ultra (3 runners, $425, about $141 a runner).
Registration is handled by Ragnar on Let’s Do This, its own ticketing platform, and is reached from the Register button on the race page linked above. Check that page for the current start-wave assignment, van rotation rules, required safety gear and the transfer and refund policy, which Ragnar sets — those details are not published in full here.
Ragnar is a long-running U.S. relay-race company that puts on overnight, team-based endurance events in two formats. Ragnar Road relays send teams of 12 (or smaller Ultra and Sprint teams) roughly 200 miles point-to-point over about 36 hours, running in rotation out of vans through the day and night. Ragnar Trail relays keep teams of 8 (or 4-person Ultra, 3-person Sprint, and 2-person Black Loop teams) at a single basecamp — “Ragnar Village” — where runners rotate through three looped trail courses, sleeping in tents between legs. Ragnar says it has run more than 350 races over 20 years with around 750,000 participants. Registration for every Ragnar race is handled on Let’s Do This, Ragnar’s own ticketing platform, not on Ragnar’s website.
