About this event

Ragnar is a U.S. relay-race company that has been putting on overnight, team-based endurance races for about 20 years. In its Trail series a team stays at a single basecamp — Ragnar Village — and runners rotate one at a time through three looped courses of different length and difficulty, running through the day and night and sleeping in tents between legs.

Ragnar Trail Vermont is scheduled for Friday 9 July to Saturday 10 July 2027 at Ascutney Outdoors, 449 Ski Tow Road, Brownsville, Vermont, in the West Windsor area below Mount Ascutney. The three loops — Green at 2.9 miles, Yellow at 5.3 and Red at 6.5 — total 118 miles across a full team rotation, about 15 miles per runner on an 8-person team, on flowing singletrack through woods, rolling hills and farm fields with roughly 758 feet of climbing per loop.

Team registration for the 2027 edition had not opened at the time of listing and Ragnar has not yet published 2027 prices. The 2027 date above comes from Ragnar’s own listing on Let’s Do This, its ticketing platform; Ragnar’s race page still showed the 2026 edition, marked closed. Confirm the date on the race page linked above before making travel plans, and watch that page for 2027 registration opening and pricing.

Ragnar is a long-running U.S. relay-race company that puts on overnight, team-based endurance events in two formats. Ragnar Road relays send teams of 12 (or smaller Ultra and Sprint teams) roughly 200 miles point-to-point over about 36 hours, running in rotation out of vans through the day and night. Ragnar Trail relays keep teams of 8 (or 4-person Ultra, 3-person Sprint, and 2-person Black Loop teams) at a single basecamp — “Ragnar Village” — where runners rotate through three looped trail courses, sleeping in tents between legs. Ragnar says it has run more than 350 races over 20 years with around 750,000 participants. Registration for every Ragnar race is handled on Let’s Do This, Ragnar’s own ticketing platform, not on Ragnar’s website.
