About this event

Turf Games is a team-based functional fitness competition series that started in London in 2018 and now runs festivals in the UK, Australia, Singapore and the UAE. This is its Gold Coast Summer Festival, held Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September 2026 at the Gold Coast Recreation Centre in Palm Beach, Queensland. Competition runs 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and 7:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. A separate ENGINE pairs race opens the weekend on the Friday evening and is listed on its own.

The festival is contested by mixed teams of six — three male and three female — who complete a set of scored workouts inside an assigned session. There is no individual entry. Three divisions run: Everyday and Elite compete on the Saturday, while Intermediate teams compete on either Saturday or Sunday, with Intermediate podiums on Sunday afternoon. Entry is fully open with no qualifier at any level, including Elite. The organizer has noted that Intermediate sold out and additional Saturday-only spaces were reopened.

Team entry is AUD $1,100 per team of six plus platform fees, sold through Circle21, and is non-refundable unless the event moves or is cancelled. Spectator tickets are free for adults on the Friday and free for children across the whole weekend; adult Saturday or Sunday tickets are AUD $22.00 and an adult weekend pass is AUD $30.00, each plus a AUD $1.64 platform fee. The Elite prize purse is AUD $4,800 for first, $1,800 for second and $1,200 for third, with partner prize packs for the Everyday and Intermediate champions. No age minimum is published for the festival. Dogs are not allowed inside the venue.

Price: Free (Friday adult spectator) - AUD $1,100 per team of six (athlete entry)

Organizer:

Turf Games is a team-based functional fitness competition series that started in London in 2018 and now runs festivals in the UK, Australia, Singapore and the UAE. Its festival format is contested by teams — mixed teams of six, three male and three female, or single-sex teams of four — who complete four to six scored workouts inside an assigned morning or afternoon session, across three ability divisions: Everyday, Intermediate and Elite. The series also runs ENGINE, a separate hybrid endurance race for pairs, individuals or teams of three, combining running with ski erg, rowing machine and bike work, alongside a Fittest in the City season format and open training days at partner gyms. Entry is open registration with no qualifier at any level. The founder and Head of Events is Andrew Manteit, and the brand states it draws more than 50,000 athletes and spectators annually. Registration and ticketing run on Circle21.
