These Terms govern your use of weruck.com and any service offered on it (together, “WERUCK”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, submitting a listing, buying a promoted placement, or registering for an event through the site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
WERUCK is operated by WERUCK. Questions: .
WERUCK is an event platform and marketplace for fitness, endurance and adventure events, and for the clubs, gyms and training locations connected to them.
WERUCK does not organize, host, staff, insure, supervise or run any event listed on this site. Events are run by independent organizers. WERUCK is not a party to your relationship with an organizer, does not control the conduct of any event, and does not verify that any event will take place, will be safe, or will be as described.
Listings are provided for information. Their accuracy is not guaranteed, and details — dates, prices, locations, eligibility, cancellation — can change without notice. Confirm everything with the organizer before you travel or pay.
The activities listed on this site are physically demanding and carry a real risk of injury, illness and death. You are responsible for deciding whether an activity is appropriate for you, for your own health and fitness, for your equipment, and for your own conduct.
Organizers set their own entry requirements and will normally require you to sign their own waiver and release. That waiver is between you and the organizer. WERUCK may present it during registration on this site, but WERUCK is not a party to it and does not assume any of the organizer’s responsibilities by presenting it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you assume all risk arising from your participation in any activity you find through WERUCK, and you release WERUCK from any claim arising out of that participation.
You must be 18 or older to create an account. You agree to give accurate information, to keep your password secure, and to be responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly at if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, that is used to post false or misleading listings, or that is used to abuse other users or the platform.
You keep ownership of what you submit — event listings, club and facility records, logos, images, descriptions, reviews and messages (“Your Content”).
You grant WERUCK a licence to publish it. By submitting Your Content you grant WERUCK a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting and display, publish and distribute Your Content for the purpose of operating and promoting the site and the services on it — including in search results, category and location pages, our email newsletter, and our social accounts. This licence continues for material already published or already sent, and otherwise ends when the content is removed.
You promise that you can grant it. You confirm that you own Your Content or have permission to submit it, that it is accurate, and that publishing it does not infringe anyone’s rights or break any law. Do not submit anything you do not have the right to publish.
We are not obliged to publish anything, and we may remove anything. WERUCK may decline, edit, re-categorize, correct, or remove any listing or other content at any time, for any reason, including because it is inaccurate, is outside the site’s scope, or is not a fit for the site. Listing on WERUCK is a privilege, not an entitlement, and nothing in these Terms — including any payment — gives anyone a right to be listed.
We may edit for consistency. Listings are normalized so the site is usable: dates, locations, categories, capitalization, image crops and short descriptions may be adjusted. The substance of a listing will not be changed without reason.
WERUCK publishes listings for organizations that have not asked to be listed. Where WERUCK uses an organization’s name, logo or a photograph of its facility, it is used to identify that organization and its events. It does not imply any affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement, in either direction. All trademarks belong to their owners.
If you own a name, logo or image used on this site and you would rather it were not here, tell us and we will remove it. No explanation needed. Email or use the details on our contact page. Two things worth knowing first: you can also send us a better image to use instead, and you can claim the listing and manage it yourself, for free.
To report content you believe infringes your copyright, email with the material in question, where it appears on the site, your contact details, and a statement that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
Claiming a listing WERUCK has already published, creating a new organizer or club listing, adding and editing events on a profile you control, and listing free events are all free, and there is no charge to browse or to hold an account.
Promoted placement is a paid product, sold at the prices published on our pricing page at the time of purchase. Promoted listings are labelled as promoted. Buying promoted placement does not buy editorial coverage, a review, a ranking guarantee, or a place in any unpaid editorial selection.
Promoted placement runs for the period stated at purchase and begins when the placement goes live. Once a placement has begun it is not refundable, except:
If a listing is removed for breach of these Terms, any remaining promoted time is forfeited.
Discounts, where offered, are issued individually as coupon codes. Prices may change; a change never affects a placement already purchased.
Where an event takes registrations through this site, the organizer is the seller. The organizer sets the price, the entry terms, the waiver, the transfer and cancellation policy, and is solely responsible for delivering the event.
WERUCK acts as the settlement merchant for that sale: payment is collected through Stripe, WERUCK retains a platform fee of 6% of the transaction, and the balance is settled to the organizer. WERUCK’s role is limited to processing the payment and providing the platform.
Refunds and cancellations are the organizer’s decision, under the organizer’s published policy. Ask the organizer first. Where an organizer authorizes a refund, we will process it. The 6% platform fee is not refundable except where required by law or where the failure was ours.
Chargebacks, disputes and any resulting fees are the organizer’s responsibility.
Payment card details are handled by Stripe and are never stored by WERUCK. Your use of Stripe is also subject to Stripe’s own terms.
If you take registrations through WERUCK, you confirm that you have the right to run the event, that you hold whatever insurance, permits and permissions the event requires, that your entry terms and waiver are lawful, and that you will honour every registration sold. You are responsible for tax on your sales. You agree to indemnify WERUCK against claims arising from your event or from your failure to meet these obligations.
Many listings link out to the organizer’s own registration page. Some of those links are affiliate links, and WERUCK may earn a commission if you register. This costs you nothing extra.
Affiliate relationships do not determine what appears on the site or where it ranks. Editorial selections are made on the merits. Paid promoted placement is separate, and always labelled.
Do not: scrape, crawl at scale, bulk-download or systematically copy the site’s listings or any part of them; resell or redistribute WERUCK’s data; post false, misleading or spam listings; impersonate anyone; harvest other users’ contact details; upload malware; interfere with the site’s operation; or use the site to break the law.
Claiming lets you manage a listing WERUCK published. Claims require proof that you represent the organization and are reviewed manually. A claim gives you the right to manage the listing; it does not transfer ownership of the listing, the page, or its URL. We may reverse a claim if the proof turns out to be wrong or the claim is disputed, and we may refuse a claim.
The site itself — its design, code, arrangement, categories, editorial writing and the WERUCK name and marks — belongs to WERUCK. You may link to it and quote it reasonably with attribution. You may not copy or reuse it wholesale.
WERUCK links to sites we do not control. We are not responsible for them, their content, or anything you do on them.
The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, WERUCK disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any listing is accurate, current or complete.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WERUCK will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the site — and in particular will not be liable for injury, loss or damage arising from any event or activity listed on the site, which is the responsibility of the organizer.
WERUCK’s total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid WERUCK in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limitations, in which case they apply only as far as the law allows.
You agree to indemnify and hold WERUCK harmless against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your content, your event, your use of the site, or your breach of these Terms.
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or if we stop operating the service. Sections that by their nature should survive — content licence for material already published, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and governing law — survive termination.
We may change these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and where practical we will say so on the site or by email. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
Talk to us first. Most problems are solved by email. Contact and give us thirty days to resolve it before starting formal proceedings.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you consent to that venue.
If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and WERUCK about the site. You may not transfer your rights under them; we may transfer ours in connection with a sale or reorganization of the business.
