This is a mini hike and the most approachable event on the organization’s calendar: a 5K rather than the standard 4 to 10 miles, held on Saturday 10 October 2026 from 11:15 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It starts and finishes at Steve’s Black Sabbath BBQ on Washington Boulevard in Ogden, Utah, with check-in from 10:00 a.m.
It is also the only hike in the schedule with a published price: $5 per participant, which includes lunch after the hike. Eligibility on this page is worded as veterans only, narrower than the standard veterans, active duty, National Guard and reservists line used elsewhere. The waiver and Code of Conduct language and the pet policy that appear on standard hike pages are not published for this event. Registration runs on DonorDrive and closes at 11:00 a.m. on the day.
