In its Trail series a team stays at a single basecamp — Ragnar Village — and runners rotate one at a time through three looped courses of different length and difficulty, running through the day and night and sleeping in tents between legs.
Ragnar Trail Arizona runs Friday 6 November to Saturday 7 November 2026 at McDowell Mountain Regional Park in Fort McDowell, Arizona. The three loops total 121 miles across a full team rotation, about 15.2 miles per runner on an 8-person team, on desert singletrack with only about 265 feet of climbing per loop — one of the flatter courses in the series. Ragnar lists typical race-weekend temperatures from the mid-50s to the low 80s Fahrenheit.
Two team formats are offered: Standard (8 runners, $1,645 per team, about $205 a runner) and Ultra (4 runners, $925, about $231 a runner).
Registration is handled by Ragnar on Let’s Do This, its own ticketing platform, and is reached from the Register button on the race page linked above. Check that page for current tent and camping availability, the loop maps and Ragnar’s transfer and refund policy.
