In its Trail series a team stays at a single basecamp — Ragnar Village — and runners rotate one at a time through three looped courses of different length and difficulty, running through the day and night and sleeping in tents between legs.
Ragnar Trail Atlanta runs Friday 9 April to Saturday 10 April 2027 at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers, Georgia — a 1996 Olympic venue with a mountain-bike trail network along the Yellow River. The three loops total 126.4 miles across a full team rotation, about 15.8 miles per runner on an 8-person team, on smooth singletrack through pine forest with only about 360 feet of climbing per loop.
Three team formats are offered: Standard (8 runners, $1,495 per team, about $186 a runner), Ultra (4 runners, $900, about $225 a runner) and Sprint (3 runners, one day, $375, about $125 a runner).
