About this event

Ragnar is a U.S. relay-race company that has been putting on overnight, team-based endurance races for about 20 years. In its Trail series a team stays at a single basecamp — Ragnar Village — and runners rotate one at a time through three looped courses of different length and difficulty, running through the day and night and sleeping in tents between legs.

Ragnar Trail SoCal runs Friday 23 October to Saturday 24 October 2026 on the Los Coyotes Reservation, 2300 Camino San Ignacio Road, Warner Springs, California. It is the toughest course in the Trail series by climbing: the three loops total 112.8 miles across a full team rotation, about 14.1 miles per runner on an 8-person team, with roughly 23,800 feet of total elevation gain over rugged mountain hills, fire roads and singletrack, at altitude among junipers, pines and oaks above the Anza-Borrego Desert.

Four team formats are offered: Standard (8 runners, $1,645 per team, about $205 a runner), Ultra (4 runners, $925, about $231 a runner), Black Loop (2 runners, $425, about $212 a runner) and Sprint (3 runners, one day, $400, about $133 a runner).

Registration is handled by Ragnar on Let’s Do This, its own ticketing platform, and is reached from the Register button on the race page linked above. Check that page for tent rental and camping options, the current loop maps and Ragnar’s transfer and refund policy.

Ragnar is a long-running U.S. relay-race company that puts on overnight, team-based endurance events in two formats. Ragnar Road relays send teams of 12 (or smaller Ultra and Sprint teams) roughly 200 miles point-to-point over about 36 hours, running in rotation out of vans through the day and night. Ragnar Trail relays keep teams of 8 (or 4-person Ultra, 3-person Sprint, and 2-person Black Loop teams) at a single basecamp — “Ragnar Village” — where runners rotate through three looped trail courses, sleeping in tents between legs. Ragnar says it has run more than 350 races over 20 years with around 750,000 participants. Registration for every Ragnar race is handled on Let’s Do This, Ragnar’s own ticketing platform, not on Ragnar’s website.
