ENGINE is Turf Games’ hybrid endurance race format, which the organizer describes as neither a running race nor a lifting competition but the space in between — a blend of running, functional movement and machine work. This edition runs Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2026 in the indoor hall at the OCBC Arena in Singapore, with the event window published as 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The split across the two days is indicative rather than fixed: male and female pairs plus male and female individuals on the Saturday, mixed pairs and male and female teams of three on the Sunday. Individual heat times are issued to athletes up to two weeks beforehand. Entry is available as individuals, pairs or teams of three, in two open-entry ability streams — Open, aimed at athletes training a few times a week or new to competition, and Pro, for experienced competitors racing heavier loads for prize money. There is no qualifier and no invite division. Age categories for individuals and pairs are 15 to 29, 30 to 40, 41 to 50 and 51-plus, with pairs judged on the average of both ages; podium finishers must show ID to verify age.
Standard entry is AUD $155 for an individual, $290 per pair and $399 per team of three, all plus platform fees through Circle21; early-bird pricing of $140, $260 and $360 closed at the end of August. AUD $10 of every athlete entry is donated to Samaritans of Singapore, the event’s charity partner, and athletes are given individual fundraising pages. Pro prize money is S$600 for the fastest pair in each division and S$350 for the fastest individual male and female; Open category winners receive a partner prize pack, and all age-group podium finishers receive a podium flag. Athletes also receive an event patch. Spectator tickets are listed as coming soon and no price has been published. Dogs are not allowed inside the venue.
Turf Games is a team-based functional fitness competition series that started in London in 2018 and now runs festivals in the UK, Australia, Singapore and the UAE. Its festival format is contested by teams — mixed teams of six, three male and three female, or single-sex teams of four — who complete four to six scored workouts inside an assigned morning or afternoon session, across three ability divisions: Everyday, Intermediate and Elite. The series also runs ENGINE, a separate hybrid endurance race for pairs, individuals or teams of three, combining running with ski erg, rowing machine and bike work, alongside a Fittest in the City season format and open training days at partner gyms. Entry is open registration with no qualifier at any level. The founder and Head of Events is Andrew Manteit, and the brand states it draws more than 50,000 athletes and spectators annually. Registration and ticketing run on Circle21.
