The We Defy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) that funds year-long Brazilian jiu-jitsu scholarships for combat veterans living with military-connected disabilities, covering academy fees and uniform costs. A single scholarship costs roughly $2,500.

Each November the foundation runs Veterans Day Ruck & Roll, a nationwide campaign in which partner academies host their own events on the same theme — rucks, seminars and open mats — and raise funds for the scholarship program. GORUCK is a campaign partner and has brought its rucking clubs into the 2026 edition.
