Teams of eight work through a series of challenges using Navy SEAL-standard rubber boats and litters, testing strength, endurance, communication and teamwork. The organizers describe it as built for all fitness levels, and say spots are limited to 100 participants.
The running order: registration from 10:00, a team warm-up at 10:30, the hour-long challenge from 11:00, and awards at 12:15, with a prize for the fastest team. A DJ plays throughout and a food truck is on site.
Entry is $250 for an individual, who is placed on a team of eight on arrival, or $1,900 for a full team of eight; both include a goodie bag. Spectators pay $20, children come free, and admission is complimentary for military and first responders with valid ID.
All proceeds go to Community First Project, a 501(c)(3) that provides no-cost critical incident response training to law enforcement officers.
