Eagle Expeditions are Team Red, White & Blue’s own multi-day guided outdoor trips, run at national level rather than by local chapters and led by volunteer veteran Expedition Guides trained in wilderness medicine. Team RWB is a 501(c)(3) veterans’ nonprofit whose membership is free and open to veterans, service members, military families and civilian supporters.
This expedition runs Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 September 2026 in the 10th Mountain Division Hut system around Leadville, Colorado — a network of backcountry huts named for the mountain division that trained in the area during the Second World War. Thirteen places are available.
Participation is by application, with registration completed on the Classy fundraising platform after acceptance, and carries a $250 fundraising commitment. Note that the application window text published on the expedition page appears to describe a prior cycle rather than this one, so check the current window with Team RWB before applying. Team RWB states that Eagle Expeditions are primarily for veterans and service members, though it does not publish that as a hard eligibility rule. No age minimum, spectator policy or pet policy is published.
Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB) is a 501(c)(3) veterans’ nonprofit founded in 2010 by Mike Erwin, a US Army officer, and describes itself as America’s health and wellness community for veterans. Its executive director is Col. (Ret.) Michael Sullivan.
